CAPITAL LEAGUE 2018: Press Briefing: 5-aside goldmine season 3

The only authentic 5-aside league in Nigeria is gearing up with momentum as the organisers held a press conference on Saturday 28 July.

Capital League is a product of Planet Futsal Utako Abuja, an ultra modern 5-aside football facility with a well fitted gymnasium – a gym well organized not just for regular gym session but also complete body therapy for a total well being.

Capital League is in it’s third season which start 11th August -28 October. teams vying to competeA total of 15 teams are participating for the 2018 league season. Some of the teams participating are: Budget Fc, the two-time winner of the league, TNT Fc, Ebusa Fc, Capital City Eagles, Venezuela Fc, Panama Fc , Futball Club de Shaagi, Royal Fc, Great Fc.

The grand price for the winner of the 5-aside League is 450,000 (Four Hundred and City Thousand Naira). There are other prices to be given to the best team of the league , best player, best goal keeper which will be at the grand finals.

The chief organiser of the league Mr. Olumide Aturu has this to say: “Capital League is back with more improvement in all areas of the game. 5-aside football is game we are developing in Nigeria as regards to sport loving people, we hope to promote the league to the highest standard. This time around we are using two pitch venues ( Planet Futsal Utako and Al amin school Maitama).

Against this backdrop, 16 teams are competing for the league trophy. Another improvement is the formation of a Technical Committee which is headed by Mr. Chris Waya.”

Reacting to pressmen , Mr. Chris Waya assured the participating teams of a good season in the league.

Mr.Waya has this to say: “as the head of Technical Committee, I have ensured that all facilities, Officiating officers , Security and Medical arrangement is being put in place for hitch free League season. Fans also will have an entertaining season of 5-aside football.”
