The Ghost Of Arsene Wenger

Arsenal 2018 Season starts on a negative.

Arsenal starts the 2018 EPL season on a low without the Gunners legendary manager, Prof. Arsene Wenger. Arsenal had a new man in charge, Una Emery.

At the end of 90mims, it seems Arsenal is jinxed with losing their fist match every season, five season and still counting. Pep Man City were on full throttle, they led with a goal from Stealing at the break.

Second half saw an Arsenal side with better cohesion but lacked composure in front of goal. So many misses, and a lack of concentration. Gilberto Silver made it worse with powerful strike after rounding two Arsenal defenders making it 2-0, a goal that made difficult for the gunners to come back in the 93mins.

Though, a match that most Arsenal fans had hope to change the tide at the Emirates ended with more sordid reality. Emery does have his job cutout for him with the Emirate crowd becoming apprehensive for a better Arsenal Team post Wenger reign.

Is Arsenal suffering from a curse?

Perhaps yes!

Football experts believes the team is going through a transformation phase with a new manager in charge at the Emirate.

Some bright prospect in the horizon at Emirates with new signings living up to their game.

My standout player- the young French kid who was signed from Lorient, he is a wonder on the ball with so much dexterity and flare, he boss most department of the game stringing passes and tackles like a veteran in the Arsenal kit.

As Una Emery ponders on the way forward trying to shake off Wenger curse with loss to Man City today at the Emirates, it is suffice to say today’s result is better score line compared to last season result against Pep and his boys.

Somewhere in le chateau in France, le Prof. watched with a grim on his face poking in imaginary finger at the Gunners fans while he sips Cheval Blanc 1947 St-Emilion (wine).

If you believe the wine part, you can believe anything…. We all know le Prof frugality!

Fingers crossed until next week.
