China have appointed ex Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink as their new Under 21 gaffer and he is expected to lead the team to the 2020 Olympics which will hold in Tokyo.
Since leaving the Stamford Bridge club in 2015 when he replaced Jose Mourinho, the 71-year-old Dutchman has not coached any other team since then.

Guus Hiddink is now the latest big manager that arrived in China as the country’s president Xi Jinping wants his nation’s football to develop and be reckoned with in the world.

In 2006, Guus Hiddink took Australia to the last 16 of the World Cup in Germany, and even before that tournament, he steered South Korea to third place at 2002 World Cup.

China have not taken part in Olympic football since 2008 when they hosted the games in Beijing, and Guus Hiddink has been given a task to deliver according to UK Sun.

Earlier, newsmen had reported how Colombia wanted Guus Hiddink to become their next coach after their poor performance at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Colombia were knocked out at the 2018 World Cup by England in the round of 16 and Jose Pekerman had to leave his position as the coach after the tournament.[contact-form][contact-field label=”Name” type=”name” required=”true” /][contact-field label=”Email” type=”email” required=”true” /][contact-field label=”Website” type=”url” /][contact-field label=”Message” type=”textarea” /][/contact-form]
