IFAKO-IJAIYE LG REHABILITATES MORE DILAPIDATED ROADS.
As the rains subside and in keeping with earlier promise to improve the deplorable roads in Ifako-Ijaiye Council Area of Lagos State, the Chairman, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke, has intensified work on the failed roads across the local government.
One of such roads that hitherto suffered neglect and became deplorable but received the present administration’s intervention, through grading and sand filling to ensure seamless commuting in the area last week, is Londoner Avenue, in Onibata Community.
Also, Kajola Road,Power line, in Obawole area. got major boost as the ditches and potholes impeding free flow of traffic were stone based and asphalted to reduce gridlocks and ease movements along the corridor.
Similarly, the ongoing exercise took the Council to fixing failed sections on Omonile end of Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way, through Carmel Group of Schools to the Petrol Station in- ward Kayfarm main Estate gate/Lucas junction, Onibata community.
Oke,who said his administration is poised to ensure roads in the council area are given facelift despite paucity of funds in the local government, urged the people to desist from acts capable of destroying facilities put in their domains.
