President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday appeared before the joint session of the National Assembly (NASS) to present the 2019 budget.
He was accompanied to National Assembly by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
Total revenue is projected at N6.97 trillion (which is 3% lower than the 2018 estimate of N7.17 trillion). Oil revenue is projected at N3.73 trillion including NLNG dividends while non-oil revenue is estimated at N1.39 trillion.
We have allowed for N305 billion ($1 billion) for under-recovery by NNPC on President Buhari in 2019 while working to bring it downwards so that such resources are freed up to meet the developmental and other needs of our people.
Loud ovation and encomium heralded Buhari’s arrival at the joint session with shouts of “Sai Baba’’ as he waved to the crowd.
