The pastor and his wife have been offering tickets to heaven to congregants at a price
– Police arrested the controversial pastor on Thursday, June 28, bringing an end to his devious campaign
– He was amazingly selling the tickets for N175,792
– According to the pastor, Jesus personally came to him and advised him to start selling tickets
You think you have seen it all when it comes to some pastor’s crude means of urging congregants to seek the kingdom of God, then another proves you wrong almost immediately.
The men of the God across Africa have been known to perform a number of despicable acts which they perceive as means to seek divine power but to a normal person, it doubles up as madness.
From taking on a sermon using snakes to asking congregants to wave their panties in the air like they just don’t care, some African pastors particularly from Kenya, Zimbabwe and South Africa, have a knack for not only entertaining but also raising serious questions on modern religion.
A young lady identified as DERBY DAY (@KwesiSimple) on Twitter, has taken to her social media handle to reveal how a pastor was arrested for allegedly selling tickets to heaven to sinners.
Her post reads: “Pastor Tito Wats, a Pastor in Zimbabwe has been arrested together with his wife after for purportedly selling tickets to heaven. And his congregation are expostulating to his arrest insisting the police to release since they’re using their own money to buy salvation. Ooh Africa.”

A Zimbabwe based clergyman, Pastor Tito Wats has been arrested by the police authority for financial crime. According to the police, Pastor Tito Wats told thousands of people that it was Jesus who appeared to him, then gave him tickets to people for $500…
The pastor from Zimbabwe became an online sensation when it emerged he was selling tickets to heaven to congregants who somehow felt they might not make the cut to the promised land.
According to online reports, Pastor Wats intended to sell each ticket to heaven for a whopping R6,700 (N175,792) to any gullible follower. After being arrested by the police, the pastor claimed to have been personally informed by Jesus to offer heavy sinners a chance at salvation through the tickets.
“I don’t care what people or the police are saying about me, I am being persecuted because of doing the work of God. Jesus Christ appeared to me and gave me the tickets made of pure gold so that i can sell to people who want salvation,” he defended himself in an interview.
According to reports, the pastor was arrested alongside his wife after he outrageously told thousands of congregants about his peculiar encounter with Jesus.
