Senate Passes Federal Polytechnic Orogun Establishment Bill.

The Senate on Wednesday, passed the Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Delta State Establishment Bill sponsored by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege. This followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions and TETFUND on the Bill. The Committee noted in it’s report that the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic, Orogun will among others, increase higher education enrollment and reduce youth restiveness in the Niger Delta region.

SAD: Senator Ben Uwajumogu dies at 51

Senator Representing Imo North, Benjanin Uwajumogu has slumped and died in his hotel room Abuja. He was said to have slumped in the toilet while taking his bath and rushed to a private hospital in Apo, Abuja where he was confirmed dead. Mr Uwajumogu died on Wednesday morning in Abuja after falling ill for several weeks, according to his colleague Elisha Abbo.
