Information reaching QUEEN AMINA BLOG (www.ivyukula.com) has it that The Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, in collaboration with its Social Partners, have commenced the process of reviewing labour-related legislations in Nigeria. In particular, they are:
A. The Labour Act, CAP L1, LFN 2004
B. The Trade Union Act CAP T14 and T15, LFN 2004,
C. Trade Dispute Act CAP T8 and T9 LFN, 2004, Trade Union Affiliation, Trade Union Essential Services.
D. The Factories Act CAP F1 LFN, 2004
E. The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Act 2010 (to be amended).
Squeal to this, the Ministry hereby calls for memoranda from interested members of the public, including civil society organizations, professional bodies and relevant stakeholders in order to facilitate and enrich the process of review of the Legislations and Bills for onward transmission to the National Assembly for consideration and enactment.
All memoranda should reach the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment on or before 10th February, 2020 and addressed to:
