The Honourable Minister Of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba has expressed optimism that sports will engineer in a unique way, the course of national unity.
Nwajiuba made this statement at the closing ceremony of the Federal Government Colleges FEDCOL Games in Portharcourt, Rivers State on Friday.

Similarly,he also ensure that sports development among the youth, especially school children will add value to the economic fortunes of the nation if given adequate priority.
The Minister also said that sport was at the heart of unity especially among the youth and further expressed the willingness of the Muhammadu Buhari led administration to give education and sports concurrent attention for the benefit of the Nigerian child.
He further said, there was a large potential of untapped economic benefits that would accrue to Nigerians should children and youths get needed support to take education and sports seriously.
”It is my hope that subsequent editions will be used to grow our economy by procuring the best of Nigerian made materials and equipments.” He said.
The Honourable finally charged the students to remain good ambassadors of their institutions and good children to their parents as the government was proud of them and assured the participants that future editions would even be made better.
“I appreciate the organizers for the success of the event.” He added.
