Nwajiuba also said that “It is in this light , that today we launch the Better Education Service Delivery for All programme in Adamawa State, one out of the total of 17 States with highest number of out-of-school children.”
Adding that “The cardinal objective is to increase equitable access for out-of-school children, improve literacy and strengthen accountability for results at the Basic Education level in focus states.
There is nothing to cheer about if a single child is out of school, not to talk of the millions currently roaming the streets.
“This programme will therefore ensure that out-of-school children are back in school and learning will not be only a moral and legal obligation, but also a productive investment that will guarantee the future of our children and that their rights are protected as enshrined in the Child’s Act if 2003.”He added.
