ASUU to call off strike and receive N70bn

The Academic Staff Union of Universities has agreed to call of its eight-month strike which has grounded academic activities in the public universities since March. The union leadership reached the consensus during a meeting with the government team led by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, in Abuja, on Friday. Nwajiuba appeals to SSANIP to shelve strike ,Says we are working on demands

THE Federal Government has appealed to the Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Polytechnics, (SSANIP) to shelve its proposed strike as the government is working assiduously to meet demands of the union.
